TIMEX WATCHES

Timex Watches, America's favorite watch brand, began in the 1850s as Waterbury Clock in Connecticut. In the 1880s Waterbury Watch, a sister company, manufactured the first inexpensive mechanical pocket watch and sold more watches than any other company in the world. The world's first inexpensive, reliable mechanical watch movement debuted in the new wristwatch, called the Timex watch, in 1950. The torture test commercials and the slogan of Timex Watches, "takes a licking and keeps on ticking", captivated America to such a degree that by the end of the 1950s, one out of every three watches bought in the USA was a Timex. Breaking all records for the sales of watches, Timex continues to break new ground today by continually coming out with new technological advances at very affordable prices.

Timex Watch invented the Indiglo night-light causing a revolution in lighted dials and the Timex Data Link system which is wireless technology that enables users to download information from their PC to their watch. In 1986 Timex Watches introduced the Ironman Triathlon that became the world's largest selling sports watch and spawned a full line for men and women. The perennial favorite, the Ironman Triathlon features an Indiglo night-light, 100-hour chronograph with a lap/split option, 30-lap memory recall, 24-hour countdown timer, 3 alarms with 5-minute backup, 3 time zones, golf score keeper, built in setting reminders, 5 year battery life, water resistant to 200 meters, and more. The Timex Watch Ironman Data Link is both a sport watch and a personal organizer. This amazing Timex watch has a scheduler, holds hundreds of phone numbers, up to 200 appointments, up to 200 occasions, up to 200 contacts, and multiple notes of up to 100 characters.

Timex Watches built their company and reputation by providing contemporary styling, technical innovation, reliability, and affordable pricing. When you’re looking for all of this and more in a watch, Timex still “takes a licking and keeps on ticking”.
